Hoogendoorn Growth Management has developed special software to control conditioned growing. This software allows you to achieve a climate following the Aircokas principle both in existing and in new greenhouses. The Hoogendoorn Aircomatic runs on the Economic process computer and has its own threshold curve for conditioning. The program controls cooling, heating, misting and dehumidification depending on the plant’s needs.
STARTING POINT – The starting point for conditioned growing is to keep as much CO2 inside the greenhouse as possible under bright conditions, by ventilating as little as possible. If the vents are not opened as much however, the temperature can go up too much, too quickly as well. The Hoogendoorn Aircomatic ensures that it doesn’t get too warm in the greenhouse thanks to a new, accurate control facility. The program includes a large number of settings in this regard, enabling the Economic to actuate different pieces of equipment. Each piece of equipment is allocated its own priority. To extract heat from the greenhouse you can, for instance, first start the misting system, then the roof sprinkler and then the LBK’s cooling water pumps this way. You can set six separate periods for each piece of equipment at any time during a 24-hour period, allowing for a refined interaction between heating, ventilation and cooling, without high energy costs.
PRODUCTION INCREASES – The Hoogendoorn Aircomatic allows the Economic to better fine-tune crop circumstances in the greenhouse to the plant’s needs. The vents open much less wide than with the old-style control. Less CO2 is lost, allowing production to increase. By setting priorities correctly to satisfy cooling needs, energy consumption can be low. In addition, there is no unnecessary loss of heat. The Hoogendoorn Aircomatic therefore also makes savings on your energy bills possible. The Aircomatic can condition climate both in existing and in new greenhouses. You can also connect this new program to plant sensors. The Hoogendoorn Aircomatic processes these different observations, making it possible to closely follow the growth and developments of the plants, thus enabling you to adapt the greenhouse climate regulation to the needs of the plant even more closely.
