 Beekers Berries planted the first raspberries and blackberries in their Aircokas in February 2007. A second crop is planned for the summer. Wil Beekers expects to be able to get the biggest advantages out of the new climate control then: “We are planting in the heat of the summer. There will be a real desert climate here then, and plants will have not enough leaves to make their own climate. By misting, we will help keep temperature at an acceptable level.” Beekers will follow temperature and RH closely, with the help of various sensors to be installed shortly.
